Ian Penman, a founder of NML Corporate services, is a solicitor with wide commercial/corporate experience, particularly in the media and entertainment sectors.
Ian advises a wide range of high profile clients within the online, television, film, music, gaming, software and publishing industries.
Ian provides commercial transactional advice in areas key to clients' overall business needs, such as for acquisitions and disposals, mergers, and dispute resolution; and specialist advice in areas such as intellectual property rights (including copyright, data protection and trade marks), licensing, distribution and production.
Ian is also a non-executive director of Synchtank - www.synchtank.com, the world leading professional music management system, which New Media Law helped found and incubated from the New Media Law office for the first 2 years of its development.
Since 1995, Ian has been a Visiting Principal Lecturer at the University of Westminster, and in 2014 founded New Media Law's "Media Law & Business Affairs" Diploma, which is now in its third year: www.mediabusinessaffairs.co.uk
